Improve your Google PageRank

Your Google PageRank is used by Google to gauge the quality and popularity -- and that helps determines how near the top your site appears during a search for pertinent keywords. (The exact formula is Google's trade secret.) If you want to be near the top in as many keywords as possible, it's a good idea to maximize your PageRank. Harvey Award nominations due Friday

From the Harvey Awards committee:
As a creator within the comic book and graphic novel industry, you are eligible to nominate works and vote for the Harvey Awards.  We encourage all voters, whether you choose 1, 5, or all categories.  Every vote counts!

Please vote and submit a nomination ballot for the Harvey Awards. The deadline for nominations is this Friday, April 23rd.

If you think there is a piece of work, including yours, that deserves the votes of others, please spread the word.  We encourage voters, publishers, and journalists to e-mail, blog, tweet, and otherwise promote works that deserve recognition.  Not sure what was published in 2009 and want ideas - google "best comics 2009".

Ballots can be found in pdf or text form from www.harveyawards.org.

Complete and email to harveyballots@hotmail.com.  Mailing address information is on the pdf copy of the ballot.

Should you require any assistance or have any question, please contact us at baltimorecomiccon@yahoo.com and I will work to answer your questions as quickly as possible. We look forward to hearing from you.

C2E2 wrap-up

Since I know we had a lot of Webcomics.com members at the show, let's do a little C2E2 wrap-up. Feel free to join in the discussion with your thoughts as a show exhibitor or as a potential exhibitor next year. Here are some bullets:

  • Webcomics.com got some good press. Robot6 did a very nice overview of Webcomics.com in its opening months, and Comic Related will be posting an interview shortly. We have officialy begun the transition to "WTF? $30?!?" to "Oh, I get it, this is like a trade organization for webcomics."
