Back in June, 2009, we covered the topic of word balloons in depth with several posts on the topic. The information is still good, and the more I do Webcomic Bootcamp panels at comic-conventions, the more I'm convinced that the vast majority of creators could make a dramatic improvement in the visual presentation of thier work if they simply paid attention to their word balloons.
